Our Philosophy on Brows

As someone who believes that an ideally arched eyebrow can dramatically change the look of one’s face, I believe in shaping a fuller eyebrow, a more natural eyebrow.

Aesthetically speaking, a thin eyebrow creates a hardening effect, prematurely aging the face, while a fuller eyebrow is much more youthful. However, fullness in the eyebrow isn’t the only factor; shape is just as integral to the creation of amazing eyebrows. For example, eyebrows shaped too far apart can make the eyes seem smaller and the nose appear bigger. For me, I look to form architecturally inspired eyebrows that properly frame the face.

For clients who have over-waxed or over-tweezed their eyebrows, my philosophy is to work closely with them – over a period of time – to gradually remedy the errors of the past, rather than try and attempt to wax over their existing hair growth. I work exclusively with products designed to stimulate hair growth and cosmetics invented to enhance the current look of my client’s eyebrows. One method I employ is eyebrow tinting – a service that offsets any hair color and transforms the eyebrow into a more prominent facial feature with what looks to be an even more defined arch.

On average, my clients schedule their eyebrow-shaping appointments every two to four weeks and I discourage them from tweezing in between their visits. The absence of this common beauty ritual allows for more consistent hair growth, averts a diminished eyebrow shape and prevents damage to the hair follicles.

Brow Tinting
Brow tinting is a wonderful way to achieve a color palette that is of the same color family as the hair on your head. A naturally light colored brow has a tendency to wash out the face and creates the look of a thinner arch. The tinting is usually done in conjunction with each shaping, or every other time.
